Creating my portfolio !

The activity( when, where and what):
I wanted my portfolio to look very nice and be very effective and easy to navigate. I put a lot of effort into making sure that my blog was pleasing to the eye and also the mind. This was a short term project as I did not start the creation of my portfolio before I was sure I had all my CAS points, and as I did not have a lot of spare time to do it with my busy school schedule the time left for my portfolio was limited.

Approximate hours spent: 5

Category: Creativity

Learning outcomes met through this activity:

  • Developed new skills
  • Shown perseverance and commitment in your activities
What did I plan to do?
Create a portfolio that would be presentable and creative, however it was important for me that it was also easy to read and/or recreate so other IB students can use it as an example
What did I actually do?
I ended up not focusing as much on smart gadgets for the blog, but instead a layout that was easily accessible and easy on the eye.

What were the outcomes for me or the team I was working with?
The last time I had a blog, it was my friends Maria who did all the technical things for it, I had no idea how to created a blog. So therefore I developed new skills as I was able to make a blog which I think is of very high quality as it is presentable, easy to navigate and informative.

What did I plan to do?:
After my year as an exchange student in wisconsin I developed a love for American football, luckily for me I actually knew someone in Denmark who played. It was through him that I was introduced to the team

What did I actually do?
I helped Tine in the concession stand, where we would sell hotdogs and other snacks to raise money for the team as they are always trying to raise money.

What were the outcomes for me or the team I was working with/ other people involved?
I challenged myself as I am normally to shy to feel comfortable standing in a concesion stand and talk with people that I don't already know. However I was able to put this past me and be an active help for Tine so that she would no longer be under massive amount of stress as having full responsibility of the concession stand.
